COVID-45 -personal film featured in animation magazine

On April 23, 2020, after Trump’s random babbling suggestion of injecting disinfectant during the White House Coronavirus Press Briefing, I couldn’t help but make something in protest. In the middle of an international pandemic and a national emergency he presents conflicting messaging and suggestions of unsupported treatments. He claims total power and no responsibility. This president is dangerous. He is a virus. COVID-45! I’ve had this urge to make animation of trump with Cheetos and this ‘disinfectant’ news was the perfect incentive, but in a pandemic quarantine in Italy I was only able to find one bag of Fonzies (think crunchy Cheetos) and one bag of store brand cheese puffs. Just enough to get it done. After 5 days in a closed dark cheesy smelling room carving little greasy bits of magic out of cheese puffs, here it is! The compositing and clean up is rough because with the turnover of the Tump White House news cycle, I’m already late!
